Happy New Year friends!
2017 was another incredible year here at BTI, filled with new adventures around every corner...
Our little office-house has been bustling with energy all winter. To meet the changing and evolving needs of our client partners, we added some new members to our team and also celebrated some longstanding anniversaries. It is always rewarding to watch the team grow and evolve. 2017 was unique with the addition of BTI's first canine team member (Myca). Myca keeps us smiling, although there is never a dull moment here at BTI. We have some new internal projects to be announced in 2018, including our very own, new and improved website! We are excited to see it launching in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that.
In 2017, BTI committed to staying at the forefront of the marketing industry by flexing our muscles in the digital space and expanding our integrated marketing capabilities through innovation and industry leadership. In recognition of our focus on clients’ needs and innovative work, we were nominated for small business of the year by the Mississauga Board of Trade. We also entered 8 of our creatives into international marketing awards and we are proud to have received 3 Summit International Awards and 2 Hermes awards. Over the last year, we tried new things and we learned a lot along the way. Our core values which keep us centred and grounded to better serve our clients, have been our guiding light and will be a recurring theme as we plan for the year ahead. We pledge to always be Creative and Curious and to always Collaborate. It is literally written on the walls here at BTI, and I know it is something that may come naturally to our bunch, but something we must continue to challenge ourselves with.
In December, we re-started our BTI Academy program where team members take turns sharing what is relevant and currently trending in their fields. It is my belief that you should always be learning, and if you cannot be learning, you should be teaching. I encourage this with my team as I ask them to always pursue avenues for growth and professional development, but also with myself. This past year I became a board member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization and the Mississauga Board of Trade. My hope is to contribute by providing value, utilizing my expertise, and continuing my transformational growth as a business leader. Recognizing that through BTI's current client roster, I am certainly in good company.
To each of our clients, past, present and future, and to our friends - thank you for another wonderful year. Your business opportunities, challenges and achievements continue to inspire us to test the status quo and to never stop evolving, always treating your business as our very own.
It is my hope that 2018 brings you success and prosperity. So, as you begin the journey of a new day, ask yourself – What kind of day is it going to be?
