Challenge

Eden Food for Change was looking to redevelop and revamp their existing website to demonstrate their experience and expertise in alleviating food insecurity. They also wanted to create an easier way for users to navigate, learn, get involved, and request food while continuing to focus on providing opportunities for individuals and organizations to help build a stronger community.

Solution

BTI did a full website audit of Eden’s current website to determine what aspects were working, what needed minor updating and what areas needed to be rethought. After a thorough deep dive, BTI recommended a complete website refresh with a reworked wireframe, an updated look and feel, and improved functionality.
A series of graphic icons were created along with updated photography and an enhanced colour pallet using a new secondary brand colour. The donation page was completely restructured to include multiple ways for people to donate, plus a variety of different donation payment options.

Result

The Eden Food for Change website launch was met with much success and joy. Bookings for cooking classes increased exponentially as more people wanted to get involved by volunteering. Overall initial visits and time spent on the website grew as users could easily navigate through the site and find the information they were looking for. It’s amazing how an improved user interface and experience results in a more efficient and effective process of getting food to those who need it most… not to mention a welcomed increase in donations.
