Branding and packaging an innovative environmentally-friendly, home safety product
Challenge
FireRein was founded by firefighters who develop unique and innovative firefighting products that are 100% biodegradable and safe for the environment. Having successfully launched a product to combat large-scale fires, FireRein were looking to venture into the B2C model and explore a smaller, more convenient in-home product that consumers could use as a safety precaution while cooking in the kitchen.

BTI, being well versed in the CPG category, were confident with delivering a distinctive and unique brand logo and package design that would stand-out from the competition on-shelf and highlight the unique benefit of being environmentally friendly.
A detailed, online focus group yielded many useful insights into messaging, product call-outs and in-store product shelf placement. Armed with these insights, BTI developed a brand logo and package design that would capture the essence and uniqueness of the product. The design not only allowed CookSafe to stand-out from the competition on-shelf, it was contemporary and modern enough that consumers would feel inclined to leave it on display in their kitchen as a showcase piece.

CookSafe was presented and pitched to major retailers across Canada with much success. Many retailers have signed on to carry the product upon the official release, as they feel the look of CookSafe would greatly improve the overall shelf space aesthetic within the retail space.
