FRANCO-NEVADA CORPORATION

A Gold Mine of Assets

Creatively Showcasing Global Mining Assets

Challenge

Franco-Nevada, a leading gold-focused royalty and streaming company, was looking to elevate the look and feel of their Asset Handbook publication. Their goal was to create a comprehensive handbook that effectively conveyed all the information needed by potential investors and other audiences in a compelling format while also addressing inconsistencies in layout, font sizes, and map illustrations from previous editions. Having successfully produced other publications for Franco-Nevada, they decided it was a golden opportunity to get BTI involved to work their creative magic.

Having successfully produced other publications for Franco-Nevada, they decided it was a golden opportunity to get BTI involved to work their creative magic.

Solution

For the 2024 Asset Handbook, BTI redesigned the publication and worked closely with the client partner to create materials that enhanced its comprehensiveness. The re-design process began with a series of new front cover and inside spread concepts, followed by chapter covers and back cover designs. Once the cover and layout design was refined and approved, we went full throttle on the publication overhaul. A font family was chosen, along with a headline, subheadline and body copy style that modernized the layout giving it a fresh yet premium look. A redesign of all mine map illustrations was completed to establish greater consistency that would complement the new overall look and feel. In addition to creating a printed version of the handbook, BTI developed a digital version featuring interactive elements for enhanced distribution.

Result

The new handbook established a new benchmark for future publications with its refreshed design and engaging format. This ensured that potential investors and other target audiences had access to a compelling and comprehensive resource where they could find all necessary information in one place. The inclusion of an interactive digital version, alongside the traditional printed format, allowed the handbook to adapt to today’s increasingly digital landscape. Once again, BTI received a gold stamp of approval from Franco-Nevada, reinforcing our successful collaboration.
