In July, we shine a spotlight on BTI’s dedication to inclusion and our enduring community values. Read on to discover the exciting developments unfolding at our studio this month!
Breaking Barriers through Inclusive Dialogue
Parveen, BTI’s Founder and Chief Creative Officer, recently delivered an impactful talk titled “The World Today Sucks” at an Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) conference in Calgary. He tackled the prevalent challenges of expressing opinions in a society rife with prejudices. Parveen introduced the concept of “Better Conversations” as a solution—a safe and supportive environment where individuals can engage in profound and meaningful discussions without fear.
One initiative he emphasized was the “Breaking Barriers Dinners,” intimate gatherings involving 8 participants discussing specific topics over a shared meal. Parveen highlighted how these dinners foster unity among diverse individuals, nurture an appreciation for each person’s unique perspective, and cultivate a culture of mutual respect, even amidst differing viewpoints.
Parveen concluded the talk by encouraging every EO member to join him in hosting these dinners. He believes these gatherings are crucial in promoting inclusive conversations that bridge gaps, cultivate empathy, and promote deeper understanding among entrepreneurs and our broader communities.
Parveen’s Birthday Celebration
On July 4th, we celebrated a special day at BTI—our founder Parveen’s birthday. We enjoyed some ice cream cake in his honour and came together as a team to celebrate, highlighting the inclusive and celebratory atmosphere that Parveen has built at BTI.
Parveen envisioned an agency known for creativity and integrity. His leadership has shaped our close-knit community, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Parveen ensures everyone feels included and supported, going beyond professional accomplishments. Today, we honour his dedication and vision, and are excited to continue his legacy of innovation and passion.
Happy birthday, Parveen! Here’s to many more years of inspiration and success together!
BTI Pioneering Community-First Initiatives
Being involved in our community fosters a sense of belonging and strengthens social bonds, creating a supportive network that benefits everyone. It also empowers individuals to understand local challenges and needs, driving positive change. At BTI, our commitment spans local small business networks, collaborative partnerships, supported causes, the services we offer, and the hearts of our team.
We strive to inspire the philanthropist in every Connector, encouraging them to give and volunteer for their favourite charitable causes. Our in house initiatives, such as BTI Colours, dedicated to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in marketing, and the BTI Voice Grant Program, which supports underrepresented entrepreneurs, highlight our dedication.
Because we can, we do; giving forward strengthens us as individuals and as a community. This core value of ‘community’ is woven into our fabric and celebrated at every opportunity.
