September has been such an amazing month for BTI! We had plenty of reasons to celebrate and lots of opportunities to learn together. It was a great time for the team to connect, share ideas, and enjoy some fun moments. A truly inspiring month of growth and unity for everyone BTI Connectors!
Shashi’s Birthday Celebration
On September 6th, we celebrated a special day at BTI—the birthday of one of our longest-standing Connectors, Shashi! We marked the occasion with her favourite treat, an ice cream cake, and the whole team came together to make it memorable.
With over 21 years of dedicated service, Shashi is a beacon of accountability and efficiency. Her leadership and incredible organizational skills are an inspiration to many of us at BTI.
Happy birthday, Shashi! Here’s to many more years of inspiration and celebrating special moments!
Srujani’s Wedding Celebration
At the start of this month, we celebrated a significant milestone for one of our Connectors—the wedding of Srujani! It was a beautiful fusion of Indian and Canadian styles, bringing together the best of both cultures.
Over two days, BTI Connectors joined in the festivities on Manitoulin Island, where we danced, enjoyed delicious food, and shared in the joy of this special occasion. It’s a reminder of how BTI Connectors are not just colleagues but an extended family, celebrating each other’s life milestones with love and enthusiasm.

Collaboration with Vendor Partners
At BTI, we see our vendors as more than just suppliers—they’re valued partners, which is why we proudly call them “vendor partners.” For over 25 years, we’ve built lasting relationships, collaborating on everything from print to retail displays to event collateral, and more. This close partnership enables us to deliver top-notch solutions while fostering strong, long-term connections. This month, we recently visited one of our vendor partners to work together on creating some exciting new displays.
Srujani and Danny Dive Into AI at EO Workshop
This month, Srujani and Danny had the chance to attend am Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) workshop with Parveen, titled “Beyond the AI Hype: Amplify Your Brand with AI, Automation, and Storytelling.” Thanks to Parveen’s connections, the BTI team has access to incredible learning opportunities like this one.
At the workshop, they explored the practical uses of AI in marketing, with a key highlight being how to use ChatGPT as a powerful tool in an agency setting. By tapping into BTI’s creativity and strategy, Srujani and Danny learned exciting ways to integrate AI and automation into brand storytelling.
The experience left them inspired and eager to implement these tools to enhance marketing efforts for BTI’s client partners!
Parveen’s Commitment to Supporting Underrepresented Innovators
This month, Parveen attended the launch of Canada’s new venture studio by FoundHers Labs, which is dedicated to empowering black women founders in tech. He was eager to support this initiative, as it aligns perfectly with his personal and professional goals. The energy at the event was truly inspiring, filled with thought-provoking ideas about the profound impact that the studio could have on the tech ecosystem.
As a minority entrepreneur, Parveen understands the challenges faced by underrepresented entrepreneurs. That’s why he prioritizes mentoring and supporting entrepreneurs beyond his usual support through BTI’s services and the Voice Grant Program. He is passionate about this initiative because he’s witnessed how these founders can excel despite systemic barriers. Supporting them is essential for driving change and innovation, and Parveen is committed to being part of that movement.
Parveen Celebrates Community at the V-Oscars
At BTI, we uphold our core value of “community” by supporting our nonprofit client partners in their work and beyond. This month, Parveen attended the V-Oscars Volunteer Recognition Awards hosted by our client partner, Volunteer MBC, to show his support. The V-Oscars celebrate outstanding volunteers and offer a unique experience for client partner’s member organizations to express their appreciation.
BTI was excited to sponsor the “Leader in Volunteer Engagement (Staff)” award at this year’s elegant gala on September 18th at Sagan Banquet Hall in Mississauga where Parveen had the honour of presenting the award. It was a wonderful opportunity for Parveen to celebrate the remarkable contributions of Peel’s dedicated volunteers. It was a memorable evening filled with appreciation, inspiration, and recognition for those who give so much to the community.
