The Peel HIV/AIDS Network needed help creating awareness around their International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT) event, which serves to shine a light on 2SLGBTQ+ human rights violations, including pervasive discrimination and acts of violence. BTI was asked to develop a theme and marketing materials for the event that conveyed a sense of inclusiveness and belonging for youth within the community.
Solution
BTI worked with PHAN to develop a focused strategic plan, development of the theme “We Belong, Voices of Youth” and creation of all digital and print marketing collateral to support the annual breakfast event. The result was a high-end design that was true to the community it represented, communicated all key messages clearly and brought the event to life.
Result
The IDAHOT annual breakfast was an overwhelming success. The BTI developed theme was so well loved that it was also used above and beyond the initial scope of work, including on wearables and giveaways. The new IDAHOT event branding will serve PHAN as an own-able theme for years to come. BTI received a Platinum Hermes Award in the Pro Bono category.
